Carsington Sailing Club is excited to invite you to our

Festival of Sailing: Summer Splash Open Day!

Join us on Sunday 20th July for a fun-filled day on and off the water, with Sailing, Winging, and Keelboat taster sessions running throughout the day. On shore, enjoy carnival-style games, delicious food stalls, a fully stocked bar, and a sizzling BBQ.

It’s a great chance to meet our friendly team and members, learn about our membership options, discover our sailability charities, and explore the companies we partner with. Whether you're a seasoned sailor, think you would never be able to sail or simply just curious about getting on the water, there’s something for everyone—come and be part of the summer splash!

Carsington Sailing Club is a vibrant, family-friendly sailing and watersports centre located on the scenic shores of Carsington Water in Derbyshire, near the edge of the Peak District.

Known for its welcoming atmosphere and outstanding facilities, the club offers a wide range of training and activities, for adults and children - from beginner levels to advanced sailing, windsurfing, wingsurfing, and powerboating. It also provides shore-based training such as VHF radio, first aid, and day skipper theory.

Carsington Sailing Club has a huge youth presence with their regular Youth Squad, OnBoard Club, and partnerships with Derbyshire Scouts, making it an ideal place for young sailors to start their sailing career or develop their skills.

Accessibility is a key part of the club’s ethos, with an active Sailability section, dedicated facilities for disabled sailors, and regular disabled sailing sessions through RYA Sailability.

In addition to regular racing series and hosting national open events, the club has a thriving social calendar, including family-friendly events like Friday night BBQ sails, bonfire night celebrations, charity events, and festive gatherings.

With its stunning location surrounded by trails, wildlife, and visitor attractions, Carsington Sailing Club is not just a place to sail—it's a community hub where people of all ages and abilities come together to enjoy the water, nature, and good company.
