About The Heights of Abraham
First opened to the public in 1787, The Heights is Derbyshire's oldest tourist attraction, made all the more iconic with the installation of cable cars in the 1980's. The Estate features underground guided cavern tours, a series of exhibitions including the brand new “Mirror on the Past” period costume exhibition which opened in May 2022. Other new attractions this year include a willow sculpture trail celebrating visitors from the past, a new cinema and living history actors.
