SEN-Fit CIC provides fitness, health and wellbeing support to adults and children with SEND and their families.

SEN-Fit is a Community Interest Company dedicated to supporting families, children, and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a CIC, our resources are reinvested into expanding and enhancing our services. Our work depends on grants and fundraising, which can sometimes be challenging, but it drives our mission forward.
Â
SEN-Fit began two-and-a-half years ago when director, Fiona Ross, recognised the need for an organisation focused on helping the SEND community get active, stay informed, and socialise. Starting from her dining table and hosting sessions at other community venues, she developed a plan to support the SEND community.
Â
In October 2024, SEN-Fit took a significant step forward by securing the keys to our first premises. This milestone has allowed SEN-Fit to grow and offer a wider range of services.
Â
What We Offer
SEN-Fit runs engaging holiday clubs and tea time sessions for children aged eight and above, guided by their motto: Fitness, Fun, and Friendship. These sessions have become a highlight of the week for many children, especially when the amazing Francesca is on-site to cook. Activities include crafts, sports, sensory play, themed sessions such as Lego, magic and nature. These sessions provide children with SEND opportunities to socialise, develop friendships and build life skills. Whether it’s making garlic bread or learning how to care for friends, the progress we see in the children is truly inspiring.
Â
We understand that families often struggle to access the information they need to advocate for their children. That’s why SEN-Fit provides help with applications for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs); assistance with filling out forms; and a listening ear to share challenges and successes.Â
Â
We also host several monthly support groups for parents and carers, including:
Active Carers Sessions:Â these involve a variety of activities, such as axe throwing, swimming, walking, and circuit training.
Tea and Chat Sessions:Â a relaxed space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with others.
Under 5s Session: designed for parents and carers of children under five who may have SEND or an older sibling with SEND, it’s an opportunity to access the same valuable information and support as parents of school-aged children.
Adults with Neurodiversity Social:Â a space to meet others, share interests, and get support.Â
Â
At SEN-Fit, we welcome everyone. Whether your child has a diagnosis, is awaiting one, or simply benefits from smaller group settings, we are here to help.
Â
We also offer activities for adults who want to get active, including: Twice-weekly circuit classes and Pop-up sessions for those new to exercise or returning after a long break
Our gym space is free from mirrors and designed to create a welcoming, non-intimidating environment for all.

Start from Kindness
Our philosophy is ‘Start from Kindness’ and this truly represents SEN-Fit. Kindness underpins everything we do. While we may not always have all the answers, we strive to support families with compassion and help them along their journey.
Â
We are proud to be a part of your community and committed to making a positive impact every step of the way.Â
